Handsome Roger is a very bouncy boy and likes to leap about a lot so needs a strong handler. He’s been to the park a couple of times and he’s initially been rather over excited about dogs running off the lead. However, he’s been calmer around on lead dogs when he’s been closer to them so we think he just needs lots more socialisation practice to help him understand other breeds and he’ll likely settle down in time. Roger is very friendly and affectionate and has enjoyed playing with toys in the paddock. He’s probably best suited to an adult only home or one with older children as he’s probably a little too exuberant for smaller children.
Roger's socialisation continued this weekend when he joined the other 104 greyhounds on the 'Global Walk' around Baggeridge country park. We are told that he walked well on his lead and loved meeting the other dogs.
