An update from Henry's foster family..

We have enjoyed having Henry for a week now and have learnt a lot about this happy little chap already!
Henry traveled in the car very well, he hopped up into the boot with ease, wasn’t car sick and did settle down.
It was clear when we got home that Henry has been in a home environment before as he wasn't unsure about the stairs like our greys were initially. He is toilet trained - had a couple of little accidents but nothing more than first night nerves.
Another tell that he's been in a home is Henry's love of the sofa! He hopped straight up within an hour of being home and that's clearly become his favourite place to be - he even whines if both the sofas are taken and he has to make do with the floor!
We gave Henry a bath and he was a good boy, he didn't love it but he suffered through it without complaint!
He's a bouncy boy who does zoomies, really wants to run and play with others dogs and sometimes does bark if he is on lead and wants to play - but is equally as happy with snuggles on the sofa. In fact he absolutely loves attention and whines if hes enjoying a fuss and you stop.
He's been a good sleeper, his first couple of nights he was up in the middle of the night needing to be let out for the toilet but he settled back down easily. He's currently sleeping in a bed on the floor in our bedroom and seems happy - though he is a chancer and will hop into bed if he thinks there's a chance you'll let him stay there! He's a good boy though and hops back down when asked.
Henry is also a handsome chap - he has wonderful floppy ears, beautiful eyes and cute spotty paws that he turns out when he stands like a little ballet dancer! He gets on fine with the other dogs and is even absolutely fine with them sharing his food.
Overall Henry will make a fantastic friend when he finds his forever home. He is showing signs of separation anxiety which will be impossible to address during lockdown, but once lockdown is over he could possibly be trained to be left for a couple of hours at a time. He would definitely suit a family who are at home a lot, and who want a snuggle buddy for cuddles on the sofa!
