Jonas

A note from his previous short term foster family..

Jonas arrived at home, walked in and after a short while soon settled in. He travelled perfectly in the car, and lay down and went to sleep. His initial nerves of getting the car are a dim and distant memory and he will happily jump in without hesitation. He is a lovable boy who loves a cuddle or will lie next to you and rest his head on your lap and loves curling up on your bed and chilling. He has settled in well with our greyhound (Hattie), is not food aggressive and loves sausages, freshly cooked chicken and sardines. He does get a little excited at times, especially first thing in the morning (as he has slept downstairs with Hattie) but he soon settles. He is eager to meet other dogs, and is slowly learning a few manners in the correct way to approach other dogs, calmly and without jumping. He walks well on the lead, no pulling and he likes to stay close to you or enjoys walking alongside Hattie. He likes company and he has started to learn basic commands, such as wait and leave and is responding to his name when called. He has now mastered going up and down the stairs, just need to remind him “steady” on his descent. He loves squeaky toys, especially the squeak and he watches TV and likes looking at himself in the mirrors. He has been an absolute joy to have and has adapted to life in a home with all the cuddles and affection that he can get. We shall miss him, but look forward to seeing him in his new forever home.
